This communication takes place via:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"1167\" data-end=\"1282\">\n<li data-section-id=\"4aur8n\" data-start=\"1167\" data-end=\"1227\">the vagus nerve (important for relaxation and recovery)<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"18j5a08\" data-start=\"1228\" data-end=\"1261\">hormones and neurotransmitters<\/li>\n<li data-section-id=\"18m5pcw\" data-start=\"1262\" data-end=\"1282\">your immune system<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"1284\" data-end=\"1368\">Approximately 901 TP3T of serotonin (your \u201chappiness hormone\u201d) is produced in the gut.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1370\" data-end=\"1444\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"emoji\" role=\"img\" draggable=\"false\" src=\"https:\/\/s.w.org\/images\/core\/emoji\/17.0.2\/svg\/1f449.svg\" alt=\"\ud83d\udc49\" \/> This means that a disturbed gut flora can have a direct impact on:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"1445\" data-end=\"1510\">\n<li data-section-id=\"4bqmb1\" data-start=\"1445\" data-end=\"1463\">feelings of \/>But if your nervous system is constantly in a state of stress, your body struggles to recover \u2014 not even in your gut.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1805\" data-end=\"1870\">With prolonged stress or trauma, your body can get stuck in:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"1872\" data-end=\"1953\">\n<li data-section-id=\"15kxvbk\" data-start=\"1872\" data-end=\"1897\">fight or flight mode<\/li>\n<li data-end=\"2542\">sudden bowel problems triggered by stress or triggers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"2544\" data-end=\"2641\">These are not \u201ccoincidental\u201d complaints.<br data-start=\"2580\" data-end=\"2583\" \/><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"emoji\" role=\"img\" draggable=\"false\" src=\"https:\/\/s.w.org\/images\/core\/emoji\/17.0.2\/svg\/1f449.svg\" alt=\"\ud83d\udc49\" \/>\u00a0This is the body reacting to inner tension.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2643\" data-end=\"2696\">When this tension is present for a prolonged period, this can:<\/p>\n<ul
