Hoewel wordt vaak belasterd in trendy di\u00ebten dat koolhydraten zijn niet gezond, echter koolhydraten zijn een van de basisvoedselgroepen die belangrijk zijn voor ons gezond dieet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">De glycemische index en glycemische lading<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Dit gaat om de snelheid dat we verschillende koolhydraten kunnen metaboliseren. Het begint allemaal met de glycemische index en glycemische ladingen van verschillende voedingsmiddelen. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>De glycemische index<\/strong> (GI) geeft aan hoe snel koolhydraten worden omgezet in suiker als u eet. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>De<\/strong> <strong>glycemische lading<\/strong> is een andere maat voor hoe koolhydraten worden verteerd.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Glycemische index en glycemische lading<\/strong> werken samen om te beschrijven hoe uw lichaam koolhydraten verteert en een schatting geven van hoe uw lichaam met koolhydraten omgaat. Een voedingsmiddel met zowel een hoge glycemische index als een hoge glycemische lading kan uw bloedsuikerspegel verhogen dan uw lichaam aan kan. Waardoor hormonen en metabolisme verstoord raken en het lichaamsvet stijgt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Snelle vs langzame koolhydraten<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Er bestaan eenvoudige of snelle koolhydraten en complexe of langzame koolhydraten. Het verschil tussen de twee vormen is de chemische structuur en hoe snel de suiker wordt geabsorbeerd en verteerd. Over het algemeen worden eenvoudige koolhydraten sneller en gemakkelijker verteerd en opgenomen dan complexe koolhydraten.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Snelle koolhydraten<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Suiker<\/li><li>Brood<\/li><li>Ontbijtgranen<\/li><li>Fruit (helaas, gezond maar bevat veel suikers, max 2 st per dag)<\/li><li> Sommige zetmeelrijke groenten<br><br><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Voedingsmiddelen met een hoge glycemische index omvatten verwerkte koolhydraten zoals brood, ontbijtgranen, suikers, fruit en sommige zetmeelrijke groenten. Deze voedingsmiddelen worden beschouwd als snelle koolhydraten. De koolhydraatmoleculen in deze voedingsmiddelen zijn kleiner, vooral in het geval van suiker, en worden snel afgebroken tot suikers in je darmen. Indien regelmatig gegeten, kunnen snelle koolhydraten uw bloedsuikerspiegel verhoogd houden, waardoor gewichtstoename en een verhoogd risico op diabetes type 2, obesitas, metabool syndroom en cardiovasculaire aandoeningen worden veroorzaakt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Langzame koolhydraten<\/strong> (gezonde koolhydraten) <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Broccoli<\/li><li>Allen koolsoorten<\/li><li>Asperge<\/li><li>Avocado<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><span lang=\"nl\">Kun je geloven dat een paar decennia geleden, vetvrij voedsel de woede was? Ik herinner me nog dat popcorn en pretzels &#8220;gezond&#8221; waren omdat die vetvrij waren.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tegenwoordig eten mensen veel meer koolhydraten dan vetten. Echter kan h<span lang=\"nl\">et menselijk lichaam bestaan \u200b\u200bzonder koolhydraten.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"tw-data-text tw-ta tw-text-small\"><span lang=\"nl\">Suiker en verwerkte koolhydraten kunnen ons gewicht en onze gezondheid ru\u00efneren!<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"tw-data-text tw-ta tw-text-small\"><span lang=\"nl\">Veel producten zoals groene groenten, zeevruchten of eieren hebben geen koolhydraten.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Koolhydraten en obesitas<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Laten we eens kijken naar de relatie tussen de inname van <a href=\"https:\/\/natural-medicine-practice-elena.nl\/nieuws\/koolhydraatverslaving\/\">koolhydraten<\/a> en de recente obesitas crisis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Vanaf <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/nchs\/pressroom\/04news\/calorie.htm\">1971 tot het jaar 2000<\/a> is de inname van koolhydraten voor zowel mannen als vrouwen toegenomen. Vanaf het midden van de jaren tachtig begon obesitas te groeien met ongekende snelheden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Velen zeiden dat deze correlatie duidelijk bewijs was dat koolhydraten de schuld zijn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Als de koolhydraten de enige oorzaak van gewichtstoename waren, dan zouden we ook moeten zien dat mensen met een koolhydraatbeperkt di\u00ebten meer gewicht verliezen dan die met een hoog of matig koolhydraat diet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Studies<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"tw-data-text tw-ta tw-text-small\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nejm.org\/doi\/full\/10.1056\/NEJMoa0804748#t=articleResults\"><span lang=\"nl\">Een cruciale studie, gepubliceerd in 2009, beantwoordde deze vraag.<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Uit een internationale studie in 18 landen in 2017 bleek dat een dieet met veel koolhydraten het risico op hart- en <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thelancet.com\/journals\/lancet\/article\/PIIS0140-6736(17)32252-3\/fulltext\">vaatziekten en mortaliteit verhoogt<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"tw-data-text tw-ta tw-text-small\"><span lang=\"nl\">Eerst en vooral is de PURE-studie een prospectieve studie (zo veel zelfs dat het goed is in die tijd). Dit betekent dat de voorwaarden van de studie van tevoren zijn vastgelegd en dat ze de resultaten in de loop van de jaren hebben bekeken. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"tw-data-text tw-ta tw-text-small\"><span lang=\"nl\">Het omvatte ook een groot aantal mensen, verspreid over 18 verschillende landen. Ze keken naar de verhouding koolhydraten en vetten in di\u00ebten over de hele wereld, en ook naar de soorten vetten (zoals verzadigd, meervoudig onverzadigd, enkelvoudig onverzadigd). <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Conclusie<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"tw-data-text tw-ta tw-text-small\"><span lang=\"nl\">Uiteindelijk evalueerden ze hoe deze dingen be\u00efnvloedden: Totale mortaliteit, en <a href=\"https:\/\/natural-medicine-practice-elena.nl\/overgewicht\/\">Cardiovasculaire<\/a> mortaliteit <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"tw-data-text tw-ta tw-text-small\"><span lang=\"nl\">Er waren conclusies die aantoonden dat de hoogste koolhydraatgroepen in de studie eenvoudig hogere sterftecijfers hadden. Ze zagen ook dat de laagste vetgroepen ook de hoogste sterftecijfers hadden.
